‘VOCABULUM’ is the Latin word for ‘word’! And Chris Wardle has created a word prediction effect that seems impossible, yet works like a charm.

Using props that appear to be part of some arcane word game, this is a knock-out “prediction” effect, which can be repeated as often you like, with different results at every performance.

The performer removes 5 playing card-sized cards from a double, clear-fronted wallet.
On each of the cards are listed 12 different four-letter words (expletives excluded!). The spectator verifies that every word on every card is different.
In the other pocket of the wallet can be seen the geometric back design of a second set of cards - through the clear ‘window’ of the wallet. These cards, says the performer are a guess at the spectator’s free selection, which will be revealed later.
A spectator is asked to choose any of the 5 word cards, (NO FORCE of any type) then to name any number between 1 and 12. (again absolutely no force.)
This number is counted to openly and fairly. The word is, (for example – it’s different for every performance), ‘AMEN’.
The performer now removes the second set of 4 cards, one by one, to show that they are 4 large letter cards which spell the word ‘AMEN’. No other word on the chosen card could be made from those letters! The wallet is empty and can be handed out for examination if desired!

Note these special features:

* No force of the List of Words – the spectator freely selects any of the five lists. Every word and every list is different.

* No force of the number selected to arrive at the word on the list. Any number between 1 and 12 can be selected.

* No extra Cards are used.

* Instant reset for a repeat performance makes this an ideal effect for table hopping performance.

* A different result at every performance.

* No skill, memory work or sleights – it’s all built in into the props supplied. Just follow the instructions.

Comes to you complete with the 5 word lists, and the four prediction letter cards in a double wallet, with two pages of detailed instructions that explain the ingenious working of this miracle effect, and walk you step by step through its performance. And at a price far less than a cup of coffee, you couldn’t get a better deal !
